MATTHEW'S JOURNEY INTO YOGA
Honoring the sacred alchemical process that yoga offers its practitioners, Matthew believes that by learning to synchronize both breath and movement, our yoga practice becomes a moving meditation, ultimately providing a profoundly potent antidote for getting us out of our minds, and revitalizing our awareness back into our hearts.
In 2011 Matthew was first introduced to Yoga through path of Bhakti and Nada Yoga. While studying with his teacher Prema Karina Arenas Bonansea, Matthew soon began performing music internationally for kirtans, workshops, and teacher trainings, in the United States, Taiwan, and Canada. In 2019 Matthew heeded the call to deepen his practice by completing a 200 hour Teacher Training (RYT) at Yogalution Movement & Ayurveda, led by teachers Dharma Shakti and Marlene Martin.
As a yoga teacher, Matthew enjoys sharing the practices of pranayama (breath work), asana (poses), meditation, music, and laughter in his classes.
