JACQUE'S JOURNEY INTO YOGA
Jacque began her yoga practice at the very beginning of the pandemic, Feb 2020, when she could no longer keep herself too busy to deal with her anxiety. She found herself in a mental state desperately praying for peace. Starting out with a virtual online practice, she began to realize the 20-30-60 minutes she spent on her mat were the most joyful moments of her day. Learning about pranayama breathing practices turned out to be the only thing she found able to quiet the anxiety and rambling thoughts in her mind. “For me, yoga is breathing in peace” she often says, tying back to her initial intention for her yoga practice.
Taking on her role as a Peace Ambassador through the 200 Hour YTT with Yogalution Movement in 2022, her classes are heavily influenced by self-love, self-awareness, breathing practices and mindfulness. Jacque teaches her classes with the goal for yogi’s to completely drop into the experience present on the mat, feeling so deeply connected to the benefits, that they find themselves practicing yoga outside of the mat.
